The best things can only be achieved through perfect harmony. In a team, it's not individual skill that shines. It's how well the team plays together. In a relationship, it isn't one person's love, but two. Today is Seng Wai's and Wai Chin's marriage and they too must play in harmony. It's funny how this article in Reader's Digest cuts straight through the clutter and into the problem. Everyone has problems. It's a fact of life. Even Darth Vader had his fair share. The difference is how you deal with them. Some stand and fight. Others run away. But the smartest person is the one who realises and asks for help.
Have you ever realised you've been typing on your keyboard for so long that you can't write anymore? Or at least write in legible handwriting. I used to write with the Palm input method on my pda so all my Es started looking like inverse 3s. Just another fact of life. You don't appreciate your own handwriting until it doesn't work anymore. :)
Another couple were joined in Holy Matrimony today. Keith and Jinny. Weddings are about as tight a union as you can get here on earth. In many ways, it's the same in heaven. The Bible tells us that we, the church are Christ's bride. And when you think about it that way, you cannot but help to wonder if you've fallen short of what a wife should be because no wife should ever be far from her husband. Indeed, LORD, help us to draw near to you.
Today was characterised by the music practice we had in church. Reams and reams of notes. Multiple voices. One chorus. Our purpose isn't ultimately win a competition, but to please the one above. I believe that what comes out of our lips must be earnest spirit, thus raising a sweet scent to heaven. And God smiles.
